Adam Bottner is Director of Business Development for a legal technology company. He is a graduate of the Second City Training Center and has written multiple screenplays, including his most recent, "Searching for Frenchy Fuqua". Adam is the father of two sons and lives in Buffalo Grove.
Tracy Fowler spent 40 years in the classroom. Now she spends mornings crafting stories and afternoons teaching 15 year olds… to NOT drive like their parents. If you live in the northern burbs, be sure to ask her about the Do Not Submit Open Mic that she cohosts in Libertyville.
Tim Schreiber was a professional librarian for 13 years until he gave all of that up to stay home with his two young children. In addition to hearing and telling stories, his hobbies include playing tennis, reading long history books, and creating spreadsheets for his solar panels.
Dhamana Shauri is a member of the National Association of Black Storytellers and its local affiliate, ASE The Chicago Association of Black Storytellers. Dhamana uses her stories to celebrate the human spirit and seeks to educate, uplift and entertain.
Paul Teodo is a retired healthcare executive, and the author of 3 books: 2 novels PASTAMAN and Call Me Z, along with a book of short stories titled South of Cermak: Chicago Stories. Paul has been telling stories on stage in and around Chicago for the past 14 years.
Margaret Burk co-produces Tellers' Night and Backroom Stories OUTSIDE! in the summer months. She has stories published in Chicago Storytellers from Stage to Page by Chicago Story Press. A special passion is teaching Sharing Your Legacy writing classes to senior adults.
Susan Rohde co-produces Teller's Night. She is a MothSlam winner and has had a story air on WBEZ’s Moth Radio House. Many of her stories come from her experiences with her husband as licensed foster parents for 25 years.

Competing teams are given 48 hours to incorporate an assigned line of dialog, a prop, and a film genre into their short films. The Gala Film Festival is the world’s premiere viewing of those films.
Prizes will be awarded, including the people’s Choice Award. This is YOUR chance to vote after the screening.
The film makers will be available to discuss their films, their motivation and techniques and other questions.
Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Cocktail attire is preferred, but don’t let that stop you from joining the fun. Popcorn, soft drinks, beer, and wine will be available for purchase.

The Forest Park Public Library and photographer Chris Guillen invite you to the opening reception and artist talk for Modern Rosie, a compelling portrait exhibition honoring women who are redefining leadership, creativity, and community impact today. Join us on Thursday, March 5, from 6:00–8:30 p.m. (artist talk at 7:00 p.m.) to meet the artist, view the collection, and engage with the inspiring stories behind each portrait. The exhibition will be on view through April 15, 2026. Admission is free and open to the public.
