April Baker has a deep-rooted love for homes and considers herself a matchmaker between them and her clients. She appreciates the decisions her clients have to make and finds joy when they are able to settle into their new homes. April is involved in every part of the real estate transaction process. Her personal experience in the industry, renovating and selling homes, gives her an extra-detailed eye in looking at each place. She was born in the northwest suburbs and has lived in Illinois most of her life, minus two years in Amsterdam. April has an undergraduate degree in International Business & Spanish from Illinois State University, a Graduate Degree in Supply Chain from Elmhurst College, and previously worked in International Trade and Compliance. Heavily involved in her community, April is a founding board member of 209 Scholarship, a scholarship fund that benefits graduates of Proviso District High Schools.

Red Carpet Gala
Competing teams are given 48 hours to incorporate an assigned line of dialog, a prop, and a film genre into their short films. The Gala Film Festival is the world’s premiere viewing of those films.
Prizes will be awarded, including the people’s Choice Award. This is YOUR chance to vote after the screening.
The film makers will be available to discuss their films, their motivation and techniques and other questions.
Tickets are available at the door, or at a special price in advance. Cocktail attire is preferred, but don’t let that stop you from joining the fun. Popcorn, soft drinks, beer and wine will be available for purchase.
